Munktell Business Center

Munktell Business Center is a new office hotel located in the historic Munktellstaden in Eskilstuna. The unique location along with Clarion Collection Hotel Bolinder Munktell and Munktell Business Center make it a special place. The house is from the beginning of the 20th century and was for a long time a workshop for Volvo BM when they occupied most of the munktell area with their industrial premises. In the 70s, however, they moved from there to new premises and Munktellstaden began to take shape. A lot has happened since then. A new arena was built, Munktellarena, and since then both Munktell Science Park and the new arena, Stiga Sports Arena, have been built together with a completely new bathhouse. Now Eskilstuna Municipality is in the next phase with new housing and parking garages. The area will be one of the newest and most sought after in the whole of Eskilstuna.

Munktell Business Center is located in the same premises as Munktell Training & Health with the same owner. The entire upper floor is dedicated to the Munktell Business Center with the gym on the ground floor. New fresh rooms renovated from floor to ceiling give an airy and light feeling while retaining the old details.

When the owner of Munktell Träning & Hälsa decided to renovate the upper floor, my task was to produce visualizations of what we wanted it to look like when it was ready. When the entire upper floor was to be renovated, it was done in two stages. The first included office landscapes, offices and corridors and the second included the conference part.

A number of hours were spent to get the final result, but both the owner and the builder were helped by the visualizations. The end result was almost the same as the visualizations. I even produced a drawing in 2d that the builders used instead of the drawing they received from the client. This is the drawing you can see on the website.
