Project
Munktell Träning & Hälsa is a gym and a cross-fit facility located centrally in the Munktell district. When I started working there, the company was called Gym Munktell. Since then, much has happened and the company now consists of the gym, functional gymnasium (Primal gym), rehabilitation with Ulin & Kun at ground floor as well as business hotel (Munktell Business Center) upstairs.
All of these I have, to some extent, been involved in ragarding development and design. It all started with Munktell Träning & Hälsa in 2016.
When the company wanted a brand new image, we started with the logo. The idea of the logo came quite naturally, actually. When arriving from Eskilstuna city center through Stadsparken and entering the Munktell area you will be met with a wide portal with a rounded upper part. From there I took the M. To say that the gym is located in the Munktell area, we wanted the word Munktell bigger to appear better. The background colors follow a blue thread throughout the website and also on the Business Center website.
Over the next 18 month period, the page evolved continuously as new projects were added. We started selling and delivering salad luncheons. The Primal gym page was updated and linked to munktell-traninghalsa.se.
The most recent major project was the company page. The boss wanted to divide the page into two parts. Why? Well, because Munktell Träning & Hälsa is a gym, the idea is to lease gyms out to businesses. At present Munktell Träning & Hälsa leases gyms to several companies in Eskilstuna as well as a few companies in others cities. A comprehensive solution where the company instead of investing a lot of money in the procurement of gym equipment is leasing everything, including service and maintenance. That way, they do not have to pay expensive extra money if they need to be repaired. If the company have to move for some reason, they do not have to ship an entire gym to new offices where a gym could potentially not fit.
So on the website we would have a way for any customers to look at products without having to look all around the web. The tool for this became Woocommerce. An exceptionally well-thought-out plugin where you can present products to third parties even if you do not actually sell them. Smooth.
At the same time, the site was designed so that the company part got its own menu system to make it easier for customers to find. This way, we had created a page for individuals and a page for companies.
I have done all the promotional material that you see on the website and around the gym itself.
(Since I am no longer working there, I’m no longer responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of munktelltraninghalsa.se. Some parts may not work as intended.)
